Emerging opportunities in sickle cell disease cure, treatment and pain management
In support of City of Hope’s recent CIRM grant to study sickle cell anemia, CPAD will host a forum to highlight the disease. To be discussed are: Emerging issues in patient advocacy; Emerging scientific and medical advances and; Partnership opportunities with the local organizations currently serving area sickle cell patients. As a bridge between City of Hope and the African-American/Black community of Los Angeles County, it is CPAD’s goal to assist City of Hope in rolling out an effective sickle cell program that provides the best patient recruitment and experience!
